How are working days counted?
Working days are Monday to Friday, except the 10 legal public holidays in Belgium: New Year, Easter Monday, 1 May, Ascension, Whit Monday, 21 July, 15 August, 1 November, 11 November and Christmas. Easter-related dates change every year.
If a public holiday falls on a Sunday or another non-working day, employers must give a replacement day. That replacement day depends on your company and is not included here. Community holidays only apply to some public services and education.
